KIND Healthy Grains Bars Review

KIND

“You can’t love everything.”

KIND

This is what my dad says to me every Christmas morning, as I unwrap every gift, gasp, and exclaim “I LOVE this!”  That is kind of how I’m feeling about reviewing KIND Healthy Grains Bars.  I need to be more critical, have a more discerning palate.  But I really do love each of them!

 KIND

I first found KIND bars at Trader Joe’s and became obsessed with the dark chocolate and sea salt flavor.  I reached out to them, and they quickly sent a box of their new whole grain bars.  I came home to this package feeling exhausted after a busy day at work, and this perked me right up!  I immediately dug into the Dark Chocolate & Peanut Butter bar.  These bars remind me of those chewy chocolate chip granola bars, but are all-natural!  You will be able to pronounce every ingredient :)

KIND

The next morning, I crumbled the dark chocolate bar into a mug, then topped it with sliced banana and unsweetened almond milk.

KIND

I had the Honey & Oat bar for a snack and dipped it in plain Greek yogurt mixed with honey & peanut butter.  I’m sure you can tell I’m quite the snack connoisseur.

KIND

I crumbled the Pumpkin & Maple bar over vanilla Greek yogurt and threw in the some chocolate chips – reminded me of a chocolate chip pumpkin muffin!

These KIND bars are definitely rivaling Lara bars as my new favorite granola bar. I’ve been featuring healthy work snack ideas this month in honor of Nurses’ Day!  For more ideas, check these posts:

Healthy Travel Snacks

One of my absolute favorite parts of vacation is the planning.  Recently I’ve made more of an effort to make sure to plan healthy snacks for the plane, hotel room, etc.  Tim and I just had an amazing trip to New York City, so I thought I’d provide some ideas for healthy travel snacks…

Quaker Oatmeal

Just add hot water for a delicious (and cheap!) breakfast of oatmeal, apples, cranberries and walnuts.  I packed a couple of these Quaker cups for our hotel room.

Dried Fruit & Nuts

Dried fruit and nuts are an easy and satisfying snack.  These were perfect for the plane when the free pretzels weren’t cutting it.  I stocked up at Walgreens, because each package was just 99 cents.

Fresh Fruit

Fruit with a thick peel is easy to toss in your carry-on.

Fresh Peppers

The day before we left I cut up these bell peppers to snack on while we toured around the city.  And yes, I did purposely choose green and red ones for Christmas…

Pop Chips  Lara Bars

I love that one serving of Pop Chips is only 100 calories.  I also stocked up on Tim’s favorite on-the-go snack, Lara bars.

Luna Bars

Finally, no trip (or day) would be complete without my favorite snack of all time… Luna Bars!  I need to start buying them in bulk, because I eat at least one a day.

Georgetown Cupcakes

I think the best part about planning healthy snacks ahead of time is that if you do want to splurge (like when we were walking around Soho and came upon Georgetown Cupcake) you don’t have to hesitate!

If you’re traveling for the holidays, have a safe and happy trip!
